Surf Riders Fuerteventura is a modern Surf retreat where you can meet people from all over the world. Come and join us to surf, party, relax and enjoy.
Our Villa offers comfortable common areas, fully equipped kitchens, rooftops, a pool, and stunning views all year round. If the regulations allow us we organize a BBQ every Friday, so socializing here is extremely easy. Additionally if you have booked some surf/kitesurf/wingsurflessons you will be attending them with some fellow guests, and soon you will feel part of a family of surfers and travellers.
The climatic conditions of Fuerteventura are incredible in all seasons of the year, offering an excellent environment for water sports. The best places to surf are in the north of the island, where the Surf Riders Villa is located.

Despite being the second largest of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura is still a small island and only takes an hour and a half to drive its length. What this also means is that there is always a coast that is working and plenty of empty waves to be surfed! With practically 365 days of sunshine & 25ºC plus weather it has often been called the Hawaii of Europe.
Like the rest of Europe the Autumn/ Winter gets the biggest surf and the spring/summer is perfect for beginner/intermediate surf...The Canaries lie 100kms off Africa and are a magnet for North Atlantic swells. The island is known for both expert waves and many mellow beachbreaks perfect for intermediate improvers.
Corralejo is often the starting point for a Fuerteventura surf holiday, a perfect base and close to many breaks. The main surf break in town is Rocky Point. Perfect for intermediates, improvers and for long boarders. Further across is Los Lobos island (uninhabited) with a World Class right hand point that runs for up to 400metres.
South of Corralejo is beginners surf beach 'Flag beach', close to the famous Dunes. Further south there are many different beaches that pick up good swell.
The North Shore is what the island is famous for and where you will find a coastline full of just about every wave imaginable. El Hierro is a great spot - with 3 different sections suitable for intermediates to experts ('The Bubble'). On the North West coast is the small village of El Cotillo, and one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. It is a very nice intermediate beach break and also be on the look out as it is a nudist beach in parts.

How did you like the accommodation?
The house is big with a nice garden and very well equiped. We felt as confortable as in our own home. The owner is great and very caring. I love this place!!!
How were the surf lessons?
I had courses twice at this school in the northern capital of this magical Island, and I think I will have a third one when I will come back there ('cause I will!).
First time I attended a Kite Course, second time I combined Kite with Surf.
I can say I have always found the lessons very professional:
Kite ones usually start at the beach - often in a 1 to 1 mode - with the instructor staying at your side and giving you tips and advices on how to navigate the kite, than followed by boat lessons where "students" are constantly followed while they learn the key first moves, such as body dragging, water start, navigation positioning on the board
Surf ones (I was at a Beginner to Intermidiate level) consist in a drive to the spot with a previous explanation of it, a further briefing with pre-surf stretching on the beach and a 2 to 3 hour session in water
I have always met amazing instructors; I am sure Andrea, from Hungary, is the best kite instructor on earth, and I just did two courses so far. She is precise, careful, and able to transmit her passion for the sport in such an effective way. Try to believe!
I went kiting and surfing with Quique too, and he is such a cool kid. As well a water sport lover, he motivated me constantly to go on with both the sports, giving me constant helpful tips and making me appreciate my tiny, daily, improvements. I will always not forget the snacks enjoyed together before or after the lessons in El Goloso bakeries!
Everything is coordinated by Petra, the Italian manager of the company, which at the end of the day will wait you in the shop to organize the following one, always trying to meet your desires and expectations
My days in Fuerteventura with Red Shark are definitely unforgettable, and I strongly suggest anyone of you interested in learning Kite and/or Surf there to contact them at first.

How did you like the accommodation?
“Nice modern bathroom. Kitchen was well appointed. While staying there there were a group of kiteboarders sharing the house with me and it was good fun to meet new people and sharing ideas and feelings about the holiday!
How were the surf lessons?
Today I finished my lessons of Surf and we did an additional Streetsurf Sunset class. It was a great experience. This guys are special....they have extra small classes (max 4 people) so the teacher kike had a lot of time to explain and help us how to surf...the group and team is very nice and what I also liked was the streetsurf session we did after the surf on super big longboards. All in all, i learned a lot, has fun and met nice people...Thank you guys see you soon for more surf, kitesurf, streetsurf, SUP surf....greets from germany

How did you like the accommodation?
“Very nice big house with great outdoors - a lot of seating, a hammock, a place to tan, an outdoor shower. The room was quite and comfy but I spent most time in the kitchen or in a big living room anyways (where you can borrow books or watch DVDs). Also I really appreciated the bathroom essentials (you can borrow hair shampoo, shower gel, even a sun cream and an after sun lotion).”
How were the surf lessons?
Loved the small group and the personal attention that you get to quickly understand the basics of surfing. Nice to go in the water quickly and just try, on this beautiful and safe beach! Teacher Kike has a good sense of humor and made 3 strangers feel like a team right away. To go surfing was a suggestion from Redshark, because there was no wind to kitesurf. I did a second surfing lesson later, so it was a success for me! The streetsurf was a bit more difficult, but I like a challenge and trying new things. I had good fun and will go back here next time!!! ;-)

La casa es muy chula y toda nuestra familia se lo pasó genial! Tubimos una habitación con baño privado y los chicos se quedaron en una de las habitaciones triple con baño compartido.
Nos gustó mucho la Tranquilidad y el contacto con la naturaleza
How were the surf lessons?
Estuvimos la última semana de julio. Nuestros hijos de 14 y 16 años se apuntaron al curso de Kite 4 días. Nosotros al SUP 2 días.
Trato excelente, amable pero a la vez cumplidores en horarios, precios y actividades. El material de buena calidad. Todo bien capitaneado por Petra y Rosela, siempre pendientes de la seguridad y confirmándonos el día previo vía whatsapp las horas de salida por el viento.
Para iniciación al Kite, 4 días se quedan justos, si te engancha probad más días.
Una buena experiencia, recomendable.
