Saigon Bay Bed & Breakfast is a 3 room over to the to sea hotel in Saigon Bay, Isla Colón. We are an authentic Caribbean over to the to sea beach house in Bocas del Toro, Panama.
Our cozy bed and breakfasts offer three rooms that can accommodate up to 6 guests. Each room has walk in showers with hot water and rain shower heads. Our rooms have WiFi as well as fans, one room has air conditioning. Our rooms will make you feel like home and is a great place to meet other travelers as well and enjoy Bocas like the locals do.
The house has a comfortable social area as well as a large deck to relax and take it all in. Full kitchen, cozy atmosphere, secure and colorful. We have fast working Wi to Fi throughout the entire house perfect for the digital nomad.
Surf lessons are available for only $45 per person. We also offer free bikes for our guests if you want to ride out to the surf from our bnb. Places like Paunch Beach are only a 20 min bike ride along the beach.

Ready to experience Bocas del Toro like a real local? Saigon Bay Bed and Breakfast is located in Bocas del Toro Province, Bocas del Toro, Panama. Bocas is home to some of the best surf in Panama. We have waves for beginners, intermediate surfers as well as pros and kamakazis.
Saigon is a local neighborhood allowing you to experience Bocas del Toro as the locals do.
We are located directly over the water with views of Saigon Bay and the Talamanca mountain ranges that divide the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean.
We are about a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute bike ride to the center of town. We do offer bikes on a first come, first serve basis. In a taxi it’s only a few minutes. We walking distance to a couple local mini markets as well restaurants. Centrally located, getting to and from is easy and convenient. Walking, cycling and taxis are the most common means of transportation depending on where you are headed.
The neighbors are quiet with the occasional social gathering for cocktails, but never anything later than 10 to 11. While we encourage and support you to enjoy however you choose (spirits are welcome), this is not a party house, nor a party neighborhood.

Beginner Surf Lessons
Our classes are 2.5 hours long and include surf instruction, surfboard and transportation. Meeting point is at our bed and breakfast where we will discuss everything related to our lessons. Spots vary on conditions. This is perfect for someone who no or little surfing experience.
Black Rock
Level: Intermediate
Black Rock is the go to to spot for beginner surfers. The waves here do have coral bottom but provide channels that make going back to the point much easier than trying to duck dive in a beach break nonstop. The setting is spectacular and its proximity to town makes it a great spot for learning.
Carenero Point
Level: Intermediate
Carenero Point is a left with barreling sections that have been compared to G to Land. When its epic this wave is world class and when its smaller its a fun spot to test your skills. The wave is pretty noble during smaller sizes meaning you can wipe out without much worry. One of the most popular surfing spots in Bocas del Toro, it can be a bit crowded at times. It's better to surf here early mornings and noon to avoid crowds.
Tigers Tail
Level: Intermediate
Fun left and right this wave is located just outside of a beachfront restaurant. Tiger's Tail can get pretty gnarly especially when the surf picks up. Some sections are very shallow especially in the inside. But on smaller days it can be a lot of fun for the intermediate surfer looking to try out our their skills. This beach is one of the closest to our bnb by bike which we offer free to our guests.
Paunch Beach
Level: Intermediate
Paunch Beach is one of the most popular breaks in Bocas del Toro and has lefts and rights. The shallow reef entrance provides for a fun section in the inside with nice walls and some nice tubing sections in the inside. Only a 20 minute bike ride from Saigon Bay Bed & Breakfast, this is a great spot to come to in the early mornings, surf all morning long, come out have lunch at the oceanfront restaurant there, rest and repeat another surf session if you would like. It's a great spot to just chill at all day long and enjoy the surf. Our favorite surf spot hands down and when it's small a great place to learn how to surf.
Dumpers
Level: Advanced
Dumpers has two sections an inside and outside. The inside is a big more forgiving on smaller days but with enough size it can turn into a machine. The shallow sharp reef inside section can get heavy if the lip smacks you and sends you to the reef floor. The outside section is a short heavy tube with a channel to paddle back out to the peak. At most each section can handle about five people max, so if you see around these many people here, just go to Paunch instead. Both sections are a left.
Bluff
Level: Advanced
Bluff should only be approached by the most experienced surfers. While on smaller days it can be more noble it's still going to break close to the shore. Short and powerful this wave is popular with bodyboarders and anyone looking for the barrel of their life. The furthest spot from our bnb about 35 min bike ride but also has some beachfront restaurants that you can chill at before heading back or repeating for another session. Just take into consideration if you choose to surf here understand you might be kissing your surfboard good bye.

- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
- Cancellations on the same day of the arrival date will be charged the full amount of the reservation. Cancellations 1 day before the arrival date will be charged 50% of the reservation. Cancellations 2 days or more before the arrival date will not be charged.
