We are a unique Guest House located directly on the Umzumbe Beach. Our property and house emits a peaceful, relaxing and intimate vibe where guests instantly unwind upon arrival. Walk a few steps to the beach gate and put you're toes in the warm sand on your very own private beach.
Take your time to unwind on the shaded ocean to front veranda and outdoor lounge with comfortable lounge chairs and sofas. Soak up the sun in the sun tanning chairs. Take a kip or read a good book in one of the hammocks.

We specialize in Surf N Stay packages for the absolute beginner to intermediate surfers who are looking to gain more experience.

We offer lessons to all kids starting at the age of 5. Lessons are usually an hour long
Beginner Surf Lessons
If you have never surfed before and want a great introduction to the world or surfing. we will walk you through everything you need and get you up standing n a surfboard for the first time.
Intermediate Surf Lessons
For those who have surfed before and want to learn more complicated moves such as cut backs and duck dives. This is a great lesson for you.
Advanced Surf Lessons
We will bring you to the best spots in the area and walk you through how the spot works and work on some of your skills and ensure you learn and fine tune during the lesson.
Private Surf Lessons
A private lesson is the fastest and easiest way to learn to surf. Our surf lessons are designed to fit your specific surfing needs and the one-on-one attention will ensure your reach or exceed your goals.
Umzumbe Main Beach
Level: All Levels
Umzumbe Main Beach is a proudly Blue Flag beach only 10mins walk from the Surf House. There are a variety of waves on the beach from the cranking right hand point break off Stebel Rocks to the punchy beach breaks within the bay. At low tide there is a prominent snd bar where we run our lessons and beginners can learn how to catch their own waves. During high tide the waves become much fuller and fatter which lends itself well to novice surfers looking to try their hand at green wave surfing.
Out Front
Level: Advanced
There are not many places in teh world where you can wake up and roll into pefection on your front door. We are one of those destinations with a solid wave directly in front of our lodge. Out front is a demanding and sometimes very hollow wave that breaks on a compacted sand bar directly in front of rocks. We have had some of the best sessions of our lives directly in front of the surf house with no one else near us. Epic!
